(Washington, DC) -- Lindsey Graham says the zero-tolerance immigration policy was not the president's idea.
In an interview with CBS News, the Republican senator says it was Attorney General Jeff Sessions who came up with the plan.
That policy led to families being separated at the border, and Graham says President Trump was blindsided.
Graham believes that policy is one reason why Trump will fire Sessions after the midterm elections.
