(Charleston, SC) -- For those in the path of Hurricane Florence, steps to protect life and property should already be underway.
That's what the National Weather Service said yesterday as it issued a Hurricane Watch for Charleston, McClellanville, Edisto Island and Berkeley County.
A Storm Surge Watch is also in effect, and there's also a risk of high rip currents.
The National Weather Service says the worst conditions are expected to be between tomorrow and at least Friday, when the storm is expected to make landfall.
