(Wilmington, NC) -- The National Weather Service is not mincing words when it comes to just how bad things could be along northeast South Carolina.
A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Horry and Georgetown counties.
The NWS is warning of life-threatening storm surges, catastrophic flooding, and cataclysmic conditions that could last through the weekend.
The storm weakened last night to a Category Two, but it also got bigger and could grow even bigger the closer it gets to the coast.
