(Washington, DC) -- Lindsey Graham is applauding the president's effort to overturn what Graham calls an absurd policy.
President Trump recently told Axios on HBO that he will sign an executive order ending birthright citizenship.
Senator Graham tweeted his support and added that he'll introduce legislation to do the same. Graham says the U.S. is one of only two developed countries that grant citizenship at birth to the children of non-citizens.
Graham says the policy has long been a magnet for illegal immigration, and it needs to end.
