(Columbia, SC) -- Outdated voting machines are being blamed for Election Day problems in Richland County.
Absentee ballots that should have been counted in 90 minutes took more than six hours.
County elections official Rokey Suleman said yesterday the county is using a 14-year-old machine that keeps jamming.
He tells News 19 he hopes the state will get new equipment in time for the 2020 election, where turnout could be even higher.
