(Greenville, SC) -- The Upstate could be in the path of an historic winter storm. The National Weather Service says a storm heading toward the area could drop a foot of snow this weekend in northern Greenville County.
Areas around I-85 could get up to half-a-foot. It's too early to know for sure, and it's still possible most of the snow could fall in North Carolina and leave the Upstate with a mix of snow and rain.
A cold rain is in the forecast for the Midlands, although the National Weather Service says we have a slight chance of getting snow here Monday night.
