USC's Samuel Named All-American

(Columbia, SC) -- A USC football player from Spartanburg County is getting some national recognition.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was named yesterday as a second team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. The Chapman High alum made the team as a kick returner after averaging about 25 yards a return this season.

Also, Clemson offensive lineman Mitch Hyatt and defensive lineman Christian Wilkins made the first team, while running back Travis Etienne made the second team.
