(Columbia, SC) -- A new year means a new owner for SCANA. Dominion Energy announced yesterday it has finalized its purchase of the utility, which operates SCE-and-G.
The state approved the deal last month. Dominion says it's committed to providing safe, dependable, affordable and clean energy.
The State is reporting that SCANA’s subsidiaries will become part of a new Dominion division called the Southeast Energy Group. SCE&G is expected to eventually be renamed Dominion Energy South.
Current SCANA CEO Jimmy Addison is retiring and could receive more than $9 million in compensation.
