(Columbia, SC) -- The mother of a murdered teenager is trying to make sure some good comes from her son's death.
Natasha Ledyard helped organize an event this weekend in honor of her son, Tijuan, who was killed a year ago today in a shooting in Richland County.
The 14-year-old played basketball, so some games were played by family and friends before a balloon release to cap the day.
Ledyard tells WACH Fox she hopes kids learn to reject violence and resolve things peacefully.
