(Orangeburg, SC) -- Damage around the Midlands is being blamed on four tornadoes.
Two tornadoes touched down Friday in Orangeburg County and two more touched down in Newberry County. The most severe was an EF-Two tornado that hit near Rowesville close to the Edisto River and South River Road.
The National Weather Service estimates the tornado had a maximum wind speed of 115 miles an hour, was on the ground for about eight minutes, and was more than 10-and-a-half miles long and 300 yards wide.
The other three tornadoes were all EF-Ones.
