An alligator is not to blame for a man's death in Charleston County.
The body of John Elias was found this weekend in a pond near his home in Kiawah Island, and the coroner says the body had alligator bite marks on it.
But an autopsy shows the 79-year-old died of natural causes, and the gator bites did not cause his death.
The gator, though, had already been put down.
