(Columbia, SC) -- Close to a dozen animals that may have been abused are now under the protection of Richland County.
Judith Haley surrendered 10 dogs and a horse yesterday to Animal Care officials.
The animals were originally seized last week as part of an animal cruelty investigation by the sheriff's office. The animals will be placed in new homes.
