(Columbia, SC) -- USC's largest donor is among those criticizing the search for a new president.
Class of '75 alum Darla Moore said last night that the board of trustees should start a new search to find a qualified and less controversial candidate.
The board is set to vote this morning on Robert Caslen's nomination as president, which Governor Henry McMaster supports, but critics say Caslen is unqualified and McMaster has politicized the search.
Moore urged the board to reject the rank political influence in the selection process, which she says is hurting the school's integrity.
