(Columbia, SC) -- A school in Richland County is taking steps to reassure parents and students after threats of violence.
When classes started today at Columbia's Cardinal Newman School, extra security officers were on campus.
The change comes after a student was seen in a video three months ago threatening a shooting at the school.
An undisclosed number of deputies and a private security guard will be on school grounds for the first few weeks of classes.
