(Sumter, SC) -- A Sumter man is facing charges for what police call a tragedy that has rocked the community.
Sumter Police Chief Russell Roark announced yesterday that Daunte Johnson has been charged with the murder of five-year-old Navaeh Adams.
The 28-year-old Johnson is also accused of killing Adams' mother this month.
Adams' body has not been found, but Roark says Johnson is charged with her death based on physical evidence, a statement he gave police and their own analysis.
