Gamecocks Shock #3 Georgia in Athens

A Sunday shakeup in the polls...as LSU thanks South Carolina for that shocker between the hedges. Georgia was third in the AP rankings, before the Gamecocks visited Athens and walked out with the upset victory. Carolina took advantage of four Jake Fromm turnovers, and a miss by Georgia’s Rodrigo Blankenship, in a 20-17 double overtime win over the Bulldogs. The Gamecocks host 9th ranked Florida Saturday at noon on ESPN, and expect to have quarterback Ryan Hilinski back. Muschamp says Hilinski suffered a sprained knee at Georgia, but is expected to play against the Gators.  Alabama’s still the number one team in the AP poll, but LSU leaped past both Clemson and Ohio State to take over the second spot. LSU beat Florida in a top-ten matchup Saturday night. Clemson’s now third, followed by Ohio State and Oklahoma.
