(Columbia, SC) -- Voters around the state head to the polls today for various local races.
In the Midlands voters will head to polls to decide races in Columbia, West Columbia, Irmo and Blythewood.
Voters need to bring an acceptable form of identification which is a South Carolina driver's license, a DMV ID, a voter registration card with a photo, federal military ID or a U.S. passport.
This will be the first widespread use of the state’s new two factor voting system.
