(Columbia, SC) -- There will be no lane closures on the interstate during this week's holiday travel.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation made the announcement yesterday as an effort to help with holiday traffic.
The restriction on closures is in effect for interstate highways and high-volume multi-lane primary roads starting today. It lasts through 6 a.m. on Monday.
