(Columbia, SC) -- Police in Columbia say murders are on the rise.
There were 25 homicides in the city in 2019-- and 20 of them involved a gun.
Police Chief Skip Holbrook says they aren't sure why there's an increase. He does encourage lawmakers and community members to get involved in trying to stop the violence.
