The South Carolina Governor's office wants to invest in early education. They are expected to propose an expansion of full-day pre-kindergarten statewide.
Currently, the program is offered to kids living in poverty in 62 school districts in the state.
The expansion of it is part of an effort to fill over 70-thousand job vacancies calling for skilled workers.
