The man accused of killing a Florence Airport officer has previously served time.
Thirty-seven-year-old James Bell spent 15 years in the Florida Department of Corrections. He has previous charges on his criminal record, including resisting an officer with violence and battery against a law enforcement officer.
Bell is now charged with murder for the death of 26-year-old Jackson Winkeler during a traffic stop at the airport on Sunday morning.
