(Columbia, SC) -- Governor Henry McMaster is promising to sign a controversial anti-abortion bill into law, if it reaches his desk.
He told a large group of anti-abortion advocates yesterday at the Statehouse that he supports the so called Heartbeat Bill which would ban most women from getting an abortion if their fetus has a detectable heartbeat.
The bill was passed in the House last fall and will need to be approved in the Senate before it reaches the Governor.
