(Columbia, SC) -- A former Gamecock is now a Democratic nominee for Congress.
Former University of South Carolina wide receiver Moe Brown had 67-percent of votes for the 5th Congressional District. Brown beat out Sidney A. Moore for the nomination.
He will face incumbent Republican Congressman Ralph Norman in November.
