(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Education is releasing a flexible plan for students returning to school this fall.
They held a press conference yesterday explaining the final recommendations released by the AcceleratED Task Force.
The plan lets school districts determine if in-person learning or distance learning should take place, giving an option for a combination of the two.
The State Superintendent says each district will have a plan for parents who do not feel comfortable sending their children to in-person learning.
Spearman did say that if the number of Covid-19 cases continues to spiral the return to the classroom could be in doubt.
