SC Attorney General Says Mask Requirements Not Unconstitutional

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is speaking out about city ordinances that require face coverings. 

He says there is not a state law prohibiting a city from passing that type of requirement, and says the action is not unconstitutional. 

Columbia, Clemson, and Greenville are among cities that have passed ordinances requiring people to wear face masks in public spaces. 

Still, Wilson says he understands why people are upset by city governments requiring face coverings.
