(Charleston, SC) -- The Medical University of South Carolina is launching a color-coded alert system for monitoring coronavirus in Charleston.
There are four levels in the COVID-19 Warning Level Alert System: the most severe is Code Red, followed by Orange, Yellow, and Green is the least severe. Experts at MUSC say Charleston is currently under Code Orange, which is the second level.
That means the area is experiencing widespread transmission of COVID-19, and residents should minimize contact with others by practicing social distancing and avoiding large gatherings.
