(Columbia, SC) -- There are now over 50,000 coronavirus cases in South Carolina since the pandemic began.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced over 1,700 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases yesterday.
They also reported 22 more deaths, bringing the state's coronavirus death toll to 897.
There are also 143 probable cases and seven probable deaths in the state.
