(Columbia, SC) -- The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,170 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the state's total to 80,856 since the pandemic began.
Twenty-five deaths were newly reported, with all but one occurring in the past week. The state death toll is 1,436.
