(Columbia, SC) The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,573 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the state's confirmed cases total to 83,720.
Fifty-two deaths were newly reported, with some dating as far back as July 9th because of delays in reporting the death as coronavirus-related.
The number of confirmed deaths in South Carolina since the pandemic began is 1,505.
