(Sumter, SC) -- A mayoral candidate in Sumter is accused of staging her own kidnapping and beating.
Twenty-nine-year-old Sabrina Belcher is facing criminal charges after allegedly carrying out the stunt on Facebook live with the help of 34-year-old Christopher Eaddy.
Police say Belcher has admitted to faking her kidnapping on Tuesday.
She's charged with conspiracy and filing a false police report of a felony, while Eaddy is charged with conspiracy.
