(Columbia, SC) -- The City of Columbia now appears to be enforcing their mask mandate.
It's been in effect since June, but Halloween weekend was the first time written citations were issued for violators.
The Columbia Fire Department gave out 32 violations to people in Five Points. The violations are $25 each.
Yesterday DHEC announced 785 cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the Palmetto State to 170,048 since the pandemic began.
Ten more deaths were reported. This brings the state's death toll to 3,697.
