The Republican was re-elected to the U.S. Senate in South Carolina last night. He is the chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
He faced Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison, who is a former lobbyist and state Democratic Party chairman.
The race, the most expensive ever in South Carolina, turned out to not be as close as the polls indicated.
