(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is freezing the unemployment insurance tax for most employers.
Businesses will only see an increase in their tax rate if they changed tax classes before the pandemic or had non-COVID related layoffs.
That affects only 13-percent of the businesses in South Carolina. Governor McMaster announced the rate freeze yesterday.
