(Sumter, SC) -- The victims of a cold case are being identified.
After over 40 years, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office knows who was killed off I-95. The victims of the 1976 shooting have been identified as Pamela Buckley of Colorado and James Freund of Pennsylvania.
They were both reported missing in their home states in 1975. They were identified using DNA samples taken in 2007 that were then sent to the DNA Doe Project, which uses forensic genealogy.
