(Columbia, SC) -- Columbia's mask ordinance is being extended until April 4th.
Right now, those who do not wear a face mask in public spaces could be fined $100. But the City Council and Mayor Benjamin are planning to strengthen the consequences, considering the possibility of higher penalties for repeat offenders.
The Council previously increased the fine amount in November. They meet again February 16th.
