(Columbia, SC) -- A group of South Carolina teachers wants school staffers to be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
SC for Ed is asking community members and educators to reach out to Governor McMaster and state lawmakers to garner support. Previously, McMaster said he wants to add those 65 and over to vaccine eligibility before moving on to vaccinating teachers and essential workers.
The South Carolina Education Association says teacher morale is low and educators hope their safety will be made a priority.
