(Columbia, SC) -- For the first time in months, there are less than one-thousand new coronavirus cases being reported in South Carolina.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 868 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 428,684 since the pandemic began.
The last time single day case numbers were under one-thousand was November 15th.
An additional 16 confirmed COVID deaths were also reported yesterday, dating as far back as late December.
