(Spartanburg County, SC) -- A Greer man is facing federal charges in connection to the January 6th Capitol riots.
William Robert Norwood the Third is accused of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds, obstruction of justice and theft of government property.
Prosecutors are using text messages that are alleged from Norwood, which say he attacked capitol officers and stole a helmet and tactical vest.
He's currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
