(Lexington County, SC) -- Wearing face masks will be optional at Lexington Richland District Five.
The school board voted last night after previously being advised against making masks optional by their attorney.
But dozens of people on both sides of the issue made their voices heard outside of the meeting.
The board will allow face coverings to be optional but still encourages their use.
