(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is offering courtesy boat inspections.
They're making sure boaters have the right safety equipment and their boat and motor registration ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
Inspections are being held at public boat landings across the state.
The inspections are not required.
