Columbia will have misting stations available in some city parks if the heat index exceeds 90 degrees today.
They would be located at Owens Field Park, Riverfront Park, Southeast Park, and Martin Luther King Junior Park. If they open the misting stations, they'd operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
