(West Columbia, SC) -- A mask mandate is now in effect for Lexington School District Two.
The Board of Trustees approved the measure 5-to-2 at a special meeting Thursday.
Starting immediately, students, staff and visitors will be required to mask up through at least October 31st.
The district reports over two-thousand students have already tested positive or are in quarantine.
