(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is seeing its highest daily death toll from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
On Friday, the Department for Health and Environmental Control confirmed 82 new deaths from the virus. Another 17 probable COVID-19 deaths were reported.
South Carolina exceeded 10-thousand total deaths from the virus on August 11th and has already exceeded 11-thousand deaths a month later.
