(Columbia, SC) -- SLED is opening a new investigation in the Alex Murdaugh case.
They're now looking into allegations that he misappropriated funds while working as a lawyer in Hampton.
Murdaugh resigned from Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth, & Detrick Law Firm on September 6th, and the South Carolina Supreme Court indefinitely suspended his law license a few days later.
Murdaugh's wife and son were shot to death in Colleton County in June, and Murdaugh himself suffered a superficial gunshot wound on the road in Varnville on September 4th.
