(Lexington County, SC) -- A man will spend years in prison for a crash that injured a Lexington County Sheriff's Department official.
Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Nichols pled guilty to felony driving under the influence resulting in great bodily harm.
Nichols received a 15-year sentence, suspended to an active sentence of eight years, followed by five years of probation.
The sentence comes as a result of a 2019 crash that left Deputy Roy Hall injured to the point where he can no longer serve as a law enforcement officer.
