(Lexington County, SC) - A man is in custody after a SWAT situation developed into a chase.
Lexington County deputies were trying to arrest Daniel Hill on several warrants around one Wednesday afternoon, but he needed to be medically cleared.
Hill was put in an ambulance, but broke out of restraints and escaped, causing minor injuries to two deputies. Hill is then accused of stealing a pickup truck while still handcuffed.
Deputies were finally able to arrest him around 10 Wednesday night. The incident caused multiple Lexington County schools to be locked down as a precaution.
