(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control reported a 23-percent rise in new COVID cases since Saturday.
That number is compared with the previous week's three-day total. Officials reported just over 3.800 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
Last week's three day total reported on December 13th was just over 3,000. They also reported 37 deaths over the three days.
The average percent positive for the three days of data was just above six-percent, but that number rose over those three days.
