(Charleston, SC) - Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump is calling for justice after the death of Jamal Sutherland.
A news conference was held Thursday, which would have been Sutherland's birthday.
He died on January 5th after becoming unresponsive when detention deputies forcibly removed him from his cell for a bond hearing.
Crump and Sutherland's family were joined by family members of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Daunte Wright as they called for charges to be filed.
