(Spartanburg, SC) - A former American Idol contestant is facing charges in connection to a deadly crash.
Seventeen-year-old Caleb Kennedy allegedly crashed his truck into a building in Spartanburg, killing a 54-year-old man inside. Kennedy is charged with felony DUI resulting in death.
He is known for being a finalist on American Idol in 2021 before removing himself from the competition after a video showed him next to someone wearing a Klan-like hood.
