(Columbia, SC) - A Democratic candidate running for governor is announcing support for sports betting in South Carolina.
Former Congressman Joe Cunningham says, if elected governor, he would propose a legalization of betting on sports through mobile apps and at brick and mortar locations.
Cunningham thinks this could make at least 40-million dollars in new tax revenue for the state. Sports betting has already been legalized in 30 states plus Washington, D.C.
